1 John, Chapter 4

"Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid it it for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first." 1 John 4: 18-19

Lately I have found myself trying to understand the depth of God's love for me. I have failed miserably. We can't even comprehend it. This whole chapter of John is AMAZING. I encourage you to read it. :)

It is so encouraging to have someone love you, and truly be there for you, as a fellow Christian. When someone tells me that they are praying for me, it just makes me feel so loved. I find it so frustrating when people just throw that phrase around... "I'm praying for you." It means so much. And if you tell someone your praying for them. DO IT! Say a prayer for them every time they run through your mind. Show them the love that God shows us and tells us to show our brothers and sisters. Whenever my mom was diagnosed, people would tell my family that they were praying for us all the time. I knew that those prayers were sincere, but were they actually being said? I  know this is controversial, and I'm not saying that I'm perfect, this is just on my heart. I know that the prayers said for me and my family made a huge difference for us.  I know that the power of prayer is extremely strong, because of all I have experienced. But, if everyone that said, "I'm praying for you," actually prayed, I would be extremely impressed. I admit that I have told someone that before and forgotten to pray, or just simply had nothing else to say to offer support or comfort. I'm sure that I'm not the only one. Everyone will need support and prayer at some point in their lives and I want to be the one that is always there for my friends and family to offer support and prayer.  I want people to know that when I tell them I am praying for them, I have continuous prayer in my heart just for them. Basically I am just telling you to PRAY. I am also saying to LOVE.

LOVE: The Greatest Of All Things

"I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love."  -Mother Teresa

My name is Emily and I love love. I love when I find out a couple is getting married or two people have just gotten together. It makes my heart happy.  I love the love my friends and I have.  I love the love that God shows me every day of my life. I am just in love with love.

I challenge everyone to fall in love with love.
